If you no longer have teeth on the arches (total edentation) or you arrive at the clinic with few teeth in a very precarious condition that requires extraction, it is recommended to place several dental implants and build mobile or fixed dental works.
SOLUTIONS FOR ALL TEETH MISSING
At present, there are 2 solutions to replace all the missing teeth. To better understand what this is about, we have explained each procedure below.
REPLACING EACH TEETH WITH A DENTAL IMPLANT
Typically, a dental arch contains a number of 16 teeth. In the classic method, 12 teeth on the arch (without the "mind masses" and the first 2 front teeth) are replaced on the same day by either 8 or 10 dental implants. This way of insertion involves the placement of a large number of parallel implants that have the role of replacing the roots of the missing teeth.
FIXED PROSTHESIS ON IMPLANTS
The solution involves placing a fixed prosthesis on 4 or 6 implants and is known as ALL ON 4, respectively ALL ON 6.
